We just completed a refinance with M&M Mortgage. Our experience was excellent. Brook Manore was our broker. He was so polite and patient with us. We had multiple questions and sent lots of emails. Despite him reassuring us on multiple occasions that the loan would be completed, we still had doubts based on some past experience. If you are looking for a VA home loan/refinance, and think you can’t qualify for whatever reason, please give these guys a chance to make this happen for you. There were some frustrations along the way with having to resend documents multiple times, and sometimes feeling like the processor struggled to keep everything organized. But that is truly just part of the process ( this is mentioned on multiple broker or realtor blogs). So just try to be patient with the process and trust them that if they say they will get it done, they will get it done. Our lender was a bit challenging for the broker to work with as well, so I couldn’t blame M&M for the lender sometimes being slow to respond or to request new information, or even completely change a condition even after you have already met all conditions. Please allow me again to recommend Brook. He was SO helpful and kind. Way to go, guys!!

We worked with Scott Swenson at M and M mortgage which I “highly” recommend. I believe I found him through Angie’s list. Scott and his team are equivalent to the “Top Gun” level of real estate brokers. He WILL make it work and not run away (or lie) if the going gets tough, like many others we worked with. We had gone through multiple lenders: brokers to local banks. Despite our excellent credit & income, our loan was a very difficult case due to a “buy out” that was going on concurrently, & the fact that the value of our home weighted “highly” on the value of the land; with nearly zero comps for it (other homes on riverfront like ours were newer & larger. Plus ours was built prior to standard building codes). After investing several months of almost full time work to get a loan while trying to balance w young kids, multiple banks decided it was “too unique” & in turn, dropping the entire case totally after huge amounts of time had been invested (including getting all documents & letters sent to them, signatures etc) - even though we had solid income, stable & long term work history, and great credit. In fact, this ended up happening w the original bank we were going to use w M and M! Scott fought for us with them (as we were supposed to close but last min they didn’t want to use the appraisal “after all”)....we could have tried to fight even more BUT we decided as a TEAM to change direction and work w a new bank that might be a better fit for our property on the river & the bank being comfortable w the asset. Scott’s new plan worked and we got a great loan, and QUICKLY - but Scott still had to work for it which means everything! Scott is very loyal and a hard worker with great expertise: determined to get his clients the BEST loans they deserve no matter the obstacles - and not take them over the coals to get it. He has many yrs of experienced and handles cases that fall out & doesn’t shy away from the deal if it happens to fit outside the cookie cutter mold. Scott has high integrity - and does what he says he will do. He will not “blow smoke” like other veteran & non veteran brokers alike that we experienced (only to have wasted many hours of this ex engineer’s ( now full time mom) time - I myself am a read the fine print kind of person plus have background in operating an insurance agency - I catch their lies they don’t realize I notice; which frustrates me because this is such an immoral thing to do to the consumer as most will “not” know). Scott is not like that and never makes excuses. He doesn’t create things that “ sound good” to pacify or “retain” his clients (like so many do). Given all of this, he was the hardest working angel in the business I’ve encountered! Save yourself some time (and stress) and just work with Scott at M and M to get you the mortgage straight out of the gate. He works with many company’s who have different Nitche markets so he can find you the BEST rate and cost of loan available possible, as quickly. We were also extremely impressed Scott’s staff person (who helps to Coordinates all the signatures & docs between client & bank - where Scott always knows what is going on....). She helped make things got done even faster and more succinctly vs things falling thru the cracks if any issues ever come up. I had the opposite experience with other banks staff people (who didn’t know the right hand from the left and vice versa). The communication with “Top Gun” team Scott is top notch all the way around! 👍🏻
