It can actually help streamline the approval process if the buyer is informed of all issues. And to use my own example, the underwriter had an issue with a pending litigation the condo association was involved in. Because the management of the building recently underwent changes, they were not knowledgeable enough to provide needed court documents for the underwriter’s review. Teresa told me about the problem, and because I am an attorney I was able to locate the documents the underwriter needed in 5 minutes. Had Teresa not kept me informed, I might not have been able to close on time. Also, the title company chosen by the sellers was not very helpful or professional. They did not communicate with me about essential things, like the final closing disclosure. Without Teresa’s help and her willingness to go the extra step to make sure everything goes well, my closing experience would have been a nerve-wracking one. So do yourself a favor and choose them if you need mortgage to buy a home.
