I had previously written a poor review for Vince. At that time he reached out to me to discuss the issues I had. After meeting with Vince, I realized that the issues I had with my new home were not of his making. In fact that Vince had worked quite hard to get me a good VA mortgage. I have to admit that I wrote the above portion of the review immediately after having breakfast with Vince to discuss my experience. Vince is a quite personable individual. From the original post I stated that the mortgage was transferred to a servicing company with the worst reputation in the country. ( 1 star with over 400 reviews and and multiple complaints filed by various State banking departments.Charges of falsely charging return check fees, not posting payments promptly, among many others) Vince told me he would assist me in dealing with the servicer and asked if I could change his review. I promptly made the changes. That would be last I would hear from Vince for awhile. When I complained to him he instructed me to call the mortgage company and see if they could change the servicer and contact my bank (Navy Federal Credit Union) and get them to directly push the payments through. In other words Vince did absolutely nothing to help me with the problem. I need to add that I am a Veteran with 100% VA disability. I would highly recommend any veteran seeking a mortgage deal with a lender who specializes in VA mortgages. Other posters have commented that Vince helped them get a better deal on their home and worked with their Realtor. I was under this same impression as Vince was referred to me by my realtor. My Realtor was aware of how much I had been approved for and the conditions. I was supposed to have all closing cost paid for by the seller and an additional $5000 to buy down the interest rate. When time came to close it was revealed that the realtor had made the offer with seller and I each paying half of the closing cost. The $5000 to buy down the interest was applied to my portion of the closing cost. On my closing papers Secure Financial Center was listed as the brokerage office. As it turns out Vince works completely independently. While in the closing process Vince got sick (people get sick and nobody's fault) this resulted in us having to ask the seller twice to extend the closing. It must be noted that I had absolutely no experience in buying a home and was putting my entire faith in Vince and the realtor to help me with a smooth transition to my first home buying experience. I do not recommend Vince to anyone with no home buying or mortgage experience.I Highly recommend Veterans seek the services of lenders who specialize in VA loans, several of which keep the mortgages in house for the duration of the loan.

This guy went to bat for me when I went to get a mortgage on my home. He even helped negotiate a better deal on the home itself. I've never seen such service out of a loan officer, not to mention the loan was by far outstanding in comparison to others Id seen. I will do business with Mr. Thomas from now on.
