If I could give a negative 5 star review for this company I would. This is my third home and this was a nightmare working with this company. I felt lied to throughout the process, constant misinformation, lack of prepared documents, nothing was done on time either. Maybe it was because Scott, our broker, left his company Nation Star in the middle of our deal, and never bothered to notify myself or my agent. I just started getting random emails from Seaview until I asked him what was going on. When it came to the day of closing, I never got my final closing cost sheet. Had no idea how much I needed to bring to settlement. I guess the 3-day "clear to close" doesn't apply in NJ or maybe with this company because of everything with them was done to literally the last second. The owner called me at work on Friday afternoon at 4pm telling me they needed me to set up an IRS account to get another form they screwed up on and if I didn't get it to them, my closing would be delayed by days. Again, another F up by this company that made me sit on the phone for 15 minutes at work during our busiest time of the week, because they can't do their jobs right. Me and my wife left work early on Monday afternoon, ready to close, only to sit an hour at the title office before Scott, called and said they didn't have the docs ready because of their own clerical error and that the deal had to be pushed to the next day. No big deal to make us drive a half hour, wait and only tell us to come back the next day and take more time off from work. Nobody even apologized to me. I asked for some credit due to the hassle, you know, since the company made 10k on our deal and put us through the MOST STRESSFUL MORTGAGE PROCESS EVER. Scott told me no because they were covering a second appraisal, that they ordered because of their own negligence. When it came to finally close, they were short in the wire to the title company for our appraisal amount. Not sure if this was a one-off for them, but I would HIGHLY recommend against ever using them. I wish I got 5 star service from them, but unfortunately this was the truth of my matter.

I would give Philip and Iris at Sea View Mortgage 10 stars! Because I live and work overseas, it was extremely difficult to get a cash out refinancing on my home in the US. While a few mortgage companies gave up on my case along the way, Philip and Iris handled endless bumps in the process and pulled me through to my closing at the overseas US Embassy. Btw, I’ve never met them face to face. Everything was done via email. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and responsive.
