I made a principal only payment and they applied it as if I was making my mortgage payment. Then they went ahead and took my regularly scheduled mortgage payment a few days later and applied it as another mortgage payment. So in essence, I paid double the interest and escrow all within a few days of each other. I only caught this by reviewing my mortgage statement. These people are really shady. I wish the interest rates were low enough for me to switch companies. I do not trust these corrupt people.

Home point financial has consistently mismanaged my mortgage to include charging me for property taxes that I am currently exempt from, or outright overcharging me without explanation. When I call to resolve issues they are generally speaking rude and offer little in the way of solutions for me. I do not recommend doing business with this organization. I intend to refinance my mortgage just so I can avoid doing business with these people.
