This bank is absoultly one of the most insentive company's my family had delt with in my life. Our precious uncle passed away and my husband ( his nefew) was named benaficary of his account. As we needed funds to execute his barial arrangements, Vystar would not release the money in the account, due to a debt my husband had with them 13 years ago.... What an absolute shame.

I called this branch today when I recieved an email from the venue I am renting out in Glen St. Mary to inquire why my privacy is being violated when the venue was told I had insufficient funds in my account so they could not cash the check I wrote. Firstly, there is a Privacy Act in place to protect my personal information. What is or is not in my account is NOBODY'S information especially if that person is not on my account. The BRANCH MANAGER immediately went on the defense stating she is legally obligated to tell them my check can not be cashed due to insufficient funds. When I informed her she was wrong as I've worked in a financial institution for the last 5 years starting as a teller and working my way into fraud she continued to argue with me that I was wrong to the point that I was so angry I yelled at her and hung up. How in the hell does a BRANCH MANAGER not know that you can NOT tell someone that is NOT on the account that there isnt sufficient funds in that account. Now my WEDDING VENUE thinks I cant pay my bills all because I forgot to transfer money into that account that is supposed to have overdraft protection on it to begin with. I made a small error on my part because I have had so much going on recently. Things happen but for a BRANCH MANAGER to tell me that she is allowed to tell my financial buisness to just anyone is infuriating. That is the number one thing that was drilled into our heads when training to be a teller, you can not provide any information to a person that has not be authenticated or is not on the account. If we can not cash a check we are to tell that person, "I'm sorry but at this time we are unable to cash this check and you will have to go back to the maker of the check to receive your funds or have a new check wrote out." That is it. Nothing further. So Vystar doesnt have to abid by this same privacy act law that other financial institutions do? You guys are immune to lawsuits? Not only is it already embarrassing because I FORGOT to move money because I'm human, but a branch manager lies to me, and tries to make me out to be insane and I have no rights, but now my WEDDING VENUE thinks I cant pay for my venue and I get married in 4 months. What if they decide they dont want to do buisness with me because they dont think I can afford to pay them because someone told them I have no money just because I forgot to transfer funds. I'm going to stop here because 3 hours later and I am still insanely angry. I do not want to deal with the BRANCH MANAGER at THIS location again. But this situation needs to be addressed immediately. Did I mention I have overdraft protection too? Edit: Vystar responded below but I have not spoken to anyone about the matter other than the branch manager that swears she can tell people my personal buisness. They even deleted the post on Facebook that I made on their page. So I went ahead and filed the report with BBB and also updated my reviews since they can not brush those under the rug and hide them.
