I stayed at the Adirondack Hotel for the first time last night while on a motorcycle trip with my boyfriend, on a crazy busy weekend for them, lucky to get in as another guest had cancelled. The place was hopping! The room had a great view of the Long Lake LaGuardia (seaplane depot- super cool to watch). I've eaten there for lunch in the past as I've got family in the area, but this was the first time I've actually stayed there and been able to really enjoy the whole scene. The manager was really good to us. Allie the bartender is awesome and there's definitely a great rapport with a mix of townies and tourists. The staff seemed to be really enjoy being there, and having worked at restaurants for the better part of 2 decades that's totally heartwarming to see. Everyone was so nice! And the fish fry was the best fish n chips I've ever had, hands down. Bring your appetite, it's enormous! I cant wait to come back!

A real Adirondack feel with free swimming across the road in Long Lake. Swimming place "closes" at 6, but people swim at their own risk after the guards leave. Bathrooms stay open. Continental breakfast was also provided. We ate on the upstairs balcony and it was lovely!
