Overall bad experience. We weren't taken seriously at any point through the preapproval process and our lender's assistant was rude, sometimes called me by the wrong name. They asked for proof that I don't own the business that I work at and had ridiculous obstacles for us to jump through. It took us 5 months in total to get a house, which is partially due to their lethargic work. Eventually, after throwing closing dates back and forth, my realtor got them to nail down a time rather than giving us the go-around for months on end. Pretty evident discrimination based on age... We would have been taken more seriously by just about any other lender. Lesson learned with Ruoff and we won't be using them again and so far, I've made sure my friends and family know how they were as lenders: not good The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because Chris was cordial for most of our loan process, up until the end.

I can not describe how thankful I am that Ryan was my loan officer. I had so many questions as a first time home buyer, and he was so patient with me. I am one of those that reads every line of the contract I am signing. He answered every question I had and explained it all to be so easily understandable. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He stayed on top of what needed done and got in touch with me to keep me in the loop. I am very appreciative of his professional etiquette.
