    I’ve had several car loans with Georgia’s Own and both times worked with Ashley Humphries, a local loan officer. The bank is great—when it comes to signing your account up. Afterwards if you have any questions or concerns about your car loan account, or attempt to make any changes, good luck! You’re more likely to be able to walk on water then actually get a call back from a loan officer. Both times I’ve had my car loan, I’ve quickly refinanced with other companies who offered superior customer service compared to this bank. Ashley, if you’re reading this, perhaps you can return my email message from this March. 🤨

    Georgia’s Own has failed to protect our accounts, has reported a late payment on our credit report that was due to fraud and has failed to make good on their mistakes! We hadn’t used our credit card with Georgia’s Own for about 1 ½ years and recently received a call from Mario from their Visa Department letting us know that we were past due on our credit card. We explained that we have made no charges to that card in sometime. The charge was made in February 10 2019 for 201.24 in Mexico. We have never made overseas purchases. We explained this to Mario and were transferred over to Rick in Member Solutions. Rick was very rude and kept insisting that we needed to make a payment even though we explained that this charge was fraudulent. He kept insisting and then said that we could make a payment and then contact visa directly to dispute the charge. We asked why they were just now contacting us and why they allowed a foreign transaction to come through a card that has never had foreign transactions or even activity for over a year. We also asked why we no longer had access to home banking to check our accounts and why we didn’t receive a statement showing that charge. They explained that our home banking was blocked due to inactivity on our membership although they show that our address was correct but couldn’t explain why we weren’t getting statements. Our bills are always paid on time, Georgia’s Own was ALWAYS paid on time, visa disputed the charge and visa credited the card back for the fraud and even though we spoke to another rep Armicia W. with Georgia’s Own that said our only late would be fixed on our credit report and she would contact us back. Armicia W. never contacted us and refuses to return our phone calls. We contacted Rick once again to follow up and see why the late payment hasn’t been removed from our credit report and he refuses to help us. He keeps stating that we need to dispute it with our credit reporting agency but when we do, Georgia’s Own keeps reporting this is a valid late on the credit report. We’ve even visited the branch personally and they have been unable to assist us as well. Georgia’s Own refuses to admit their mistakes and to make good on them. The mistakes are so obvious and refuse to take care of a member that has never had any issues with them. Now they have affected our credit report that has always been in the 800+ range. We are not done fighting this but want everyone to be cautious and be aware of how Georgia’s Own has not taken care of us for several mistakes that they have made. The same could happen to you.
