    A very poorly run company. Their insurance claims department is filled with staff who tell different stories and seemed inclined to do whatever they can to not facilitate you receiving the monies guaranteed and sent by your insurance company. It takes 24-48 hours to get a call back from a manager if you ever hear from one. We pay our mortgage on time but obviously get poor service in return. Having experienced one of the worst hurricanes on record and struggled to survive that, we expect better service. Not the case with WEI Mortgage. Their board needs to reevaluate their lack of service and ethics.

    So incredibly frustrated! Terrible, terrible customer service. Not only am I having to pursue cancellation of the PMI on our mortgage seeing as how we have reached 80% loan to value for sometime now, they insist that I pay them $425 (only out of the checking account and not by credit card by the way) for an appraisal from an appraisal company that I don’t even get to choose. How is that ethical? In addition, I was told it would take two weeks for an appraiser to contact me. Now it is two weeks and three days later and I’ve tried to call the customer service line twice only to go through phone tree hell and then receive a recorded apology that hangs up on me. Customer service is open 8 AM to 10 PM and at 7:45PM I can’t reach a person or even wait on hold! Completely unacceptable! And it gets even better. So after three attempts going through the phone service I finally reach a representative who tells me that the two-week timeline was completely erroneous and they actually have 15 business days to have an appraiser call me which would be this Friday. He encourages me to speak to a supervisor anyway to escalate my concerns and get me a direct number to contact. I sit on hold for 30 more minutes only to be routed back to another customer service representative who has zero answers. Kendall, the rep, is unable to tell me what recourse I have after Friday if I do not hear from anyone even though they “have to” contact me by then. And if they don’t??? Other than refunding the appraisal fee, there’s nothing else they can do. Absolutely and totally ridiculous, awful, customer service rivaled only by the abysmal customer service at Nationwide Bank. Steer clear!
