We went through Amerifirst for our first home and mortgage. Things went fine at first, we were approved and closed on a gorgeous 1928 Renaissance Revival within a month. But before we even moved in, Amerifirst sold our mortgage to another company. I would later receive mail from Steve congratulating us on our new home, containing phrases like “I look forward to serving you in the future” and “Your mortgage consultant for life”. Very disingenuous and a bad look on Amerifirst. I am not a fan of the need for a mortgage in the first place, the whole idea of getting a loan for a house makes me uncomfortable. I would be a lot less uncomfortable if I knew my mortgage company wasn’t going to toss us around like a hot potato first chance they got.
