Don't walk, RUN away from this company. We used the branch manager, Jim Martin, thinking he would be the most knowledgeable. He constantly gave us incorrect information, was hard to reach, had no sense of urgency, and halfway through the deal basically stopped doing his job. I had to constantly call all parties involved and double check his work which was always missing. After sitting at the closing table for 3 hours waiting for him, he called saying they couldn't put our loan together in time and we'd have to reschedule. Turns out he forgot to ask for EXTREMELY basic paperwork. Now, after 4 months of living in our home Movement has started harassing us again saying they STILL don't have all the paperwork they need despite having already closed on the loan!!! Most ridiculous and unprofessional experience I've ever encountered in my life. If you value your sanity, find another mortgage company.

Normally I do not write bad reviews but considering buying a home is a major milestone in ones life and can be extremely stressful I figured I would give my honest opinion. Movement Mortgage is a joke. I went with them based on my realtors suggestion and because they offered a 10 day close, however I did not close until a month after my original closing date. I was asked to submit multiple documents multiple times because no one communicated internally. I would call for updates and no one would answer, messages left but no one returned a call. The day of settlement I was given a closing time of 11am, at 10am I received a call from my realtor stating they postponed it until 5pm (which was an issue bc ppl were set help me move, along with storage and uhaul charges, etc). I finally got a number to a manager named Matt Durham who was absolutely useless. Spoke over me whenever I had a question, complete corporate zombie type that just spits out an programmed response without actually providing any info. He explained that money was missing (how this happened I have no idea) and after that convo I received my Cost Estimate Info which was much higher than my original estimate even though the APR and Interest rates were the same. Interesting that it went up when the deficiency was found, eh? No one from their office attended the settlement even though I was assured someone from their office would be. This is my third time buying a house, the previous two were nothing like this. Everything was communicated, people were clear when I had questions, time lines were met, money was not missing, and everyone working on your closing was in the same office. One rep I spoke to was in VA,another in Ohio, and then one in PA. Do yourself a favor and go with Quicken Loans. I used them for my previous two houses and they are amazing. Do everything from A-Z and every representative you speak to is knowledgeable, courteous, and will explain anything regarding fees with escrow to city and states guidelines. Movement didn't know a single thing and every time I had a question it was answered with "Well, I think.....but I could be wrong". That's not a response you want to hear when buying a home. So to wrap it up, I'm not talking to an attorney about this because of all the money I've put out thus far for their mistakes. Do yourself and look elsewhere.
