I would never recommend this company for your mortgage. The process for our construction loan was convoluted, and honestly seemed at the most a little 'sketchy'--at best unprofessional. We started looking for a loan through our local credit union and were referred to this group for the construction aspect, because the credit union worked with them. We were told by Amerifirst in Lima that we should just skip the middle man (the credit union) and go straight through them. That should have been our first warning sign. The home inspector was a 'friend' of one of the agents, and the entire loan project was quoted 30,000 higher than what we ended up paying when we walked away from here and went with a local bank for the loan. All said and done, we had to pay fees for an inspection we were told that they'd cover, because the fee was not disclosed up front, and then they decided not honor that verbal agreement. Do yourself a favor, and go someplace else for a mortgage, they are friendly here but that does not necessarily equal good customer service.

Caution they will get you in a house but if you ever get in trouble like forecloser they will give you an amount and a due date then when you call with the funds they will raise the amount. Then even if you pay all due, late fees, and their attrny fees they will tell you your current then you will get a new bill with another $3000 on top of your morg payment that your supposed to be current on. So shady buyers beware. Not an honest company.
