Michelle Gospodarek has worked as a mortgage and loan professional for more than 23 years, she has counseled over a thousand families on how to purchase and refinance their homes.  Michelle has the knowledge and experience to help you through the loan process, find the terms that are right for your budget, and make sure all the legalities are competently handled so that the closing goes smoothly.

Michelle was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  When this Mom of two daughters isn’t working she enjoys cooking, drinking cheap wine, coffee dates with her father, and traveling everywhere, but mainly to Japan to visit her mother.

Let me start out by saying I normally do not write reviews but due to the great job Ryan did for us at Smart-Mortgage i felt we should do something to show how wonderful of a company they are.

So to start out we randomly called up Smart-Mortgage on a weekend evening and he guess who answers Ryan, Who we have been working with from day one he helped answer all of our question and was very thorough. We maybe spent 2 hours on the phone just going over details. Little did we know he would also be super knowledgeable about every aspect of buying a home. He really showed great patience and that he cares about his customers and he does his job to make sure the end result is the best outcome not only for the lender but also for the customer he helped get us in a great program that best fit our specific needs and requirements. He laid out clear options and made sure we where informed every step of the way.

We where informed of every change and any deadlines with advanced notice as well as email text or phone calls.

You can't go wrong with Smart Mortgage its the smart choice. You will not find a better mortgage lender period.

I can’t believe I didn’t leave a review. I’m so sorry. My husband and I close on our home in February 2022. I found Michelle through a Google search and I am so happy that I did. Michelle and her team for absolutely amazing, they fought for us three times over again when we were wanting to give up because of the housing market being a sellers market and appraisals were not going through. Michelle and her team explained everything from A-to-Z, we started the process back in October and what was supposed to take 30 days took a little longer not due to Michelle but due to the seller, and Michelle was still very patient working with us in our first time home buying experience. Thank you so much. Ok Michelle, we looking to do something’s in the future. I hope you ready for us again. ❤️

Amazing! Let me start with saying thank you to Anthony @ Smart Mortgage! At first we were a little skeptical on working with Anthony a.k.a Tony since we were not even in the same state, but I would say it was the best decision we made! He was not the first Home Mortgage Loan officer we were working with, but he went out of his way to prove to us that he was the correct choice. One of our options did not even care to help me find the program for first time home buyers! She told me I had to do the research on my own because she didn't have many connections to that type of help! Well, that is the funny story to how I came upon Tony @ Smart Mortgage not only did he call me right away, but was always attentive to my calls, emails, or messages. He went through the process step by step before sending any type of information. Once I received paper work he also made it clear to me what I was signing and what each part was explaining in detail. He answered all my questions and helped us get the best offer that was possible. Our process was tricky due to the special situation I had personally, but he never gave up and kept me posted about any changes that had to be made. I will be referring him to all my friends and family who may look for a home in the future! Thank you again! 😀

We were referred to Smart Mortgage and Brian Noe by a very closed friend when we were looking to refinance our house. She had a very good experience with this company and Brian so we decided use their services instead of staying with Chase. Ryan and his crew are awesome! We contacted Smart Mortgage just to see if we would qualify in the near future to purchase our first home. We ended up qualifying immediately. We were definitely a handful, but Ryan got us through the process and into our home. We are forever grateful. No more moving our kiddos around. They love their new home just as much as we do.
