Visited Arrow Rock for the first time and stopped in this cute little shop to do some early Christmas shopping. The shop is very cute, and there are some beautiful items inside. However, I left without making a purchase because the employee, (I should hope it wasn't the owner.... hopefully a retail shop owner would have more sense than to be so snippy with a potential customer.) was unecessarily perturbed when I asked a question about the "50% off All Fall and Halloween" sale sign taped up outside. The sign was placed above a table with a blanket over it, but it did say "all fall and Halloween" so while I was inside I referred to a section of fall items in the back room and asked "Is this 50% off as well? Or just what is out front?" I was surprised when the woman snapped at my daughter and I with a "Just what is out on the table, I've uncovered it now. That section is Thanksgiving and is full price. We have to make some money somewhere! We can't give away everything for free!" Yes, of course... I realize that's how retail works. Secondly, last time I checked Thanksgiving happened in the fall and (no pun intended) falls under the "fall" category. I was not insinuating or asking she peddle her goods away "for free". Maybe she was having a bad day, but that response was unwarranted and I will not be shopping at, (or suggesting anyone else shops at) this establishment anytime in the near future.
