Horrible experience with Miles Miller. Friendly in the beginning, but after I committed to the refi. I was no longer important. All the decision making was not in my best interest. Matter of fact changes were made w/out me even knowing. He doesn't respond back to calls, texts, or emails. Total time to close was over 60days!!

As a first time home buyer, I relied heavily on assistance from a great team of professionals, which I did not receive from Union Home Mortgage (Miles Miller). I chose this company to finance my home loan based on the incentives and tax credits I was educated about during our initial interactions. Ten days prior to closing on my home, I was told I did not qualify for a MAJOR tax credit. Though Miles was apologetic, he was resistant to speak with his supervisors and provide alternative solutions to make up for his error. His first suggestion was to seek out one of the other mortgage servicers I met with, which meant potentially losing the house I was in contract with. With help from my realtor, we were able to contact his supervisor who provided me with a compromise to make up for some of the tax credit I was educated about early in the process. Three days prior to closing, the final documents were sent to me when I noticed the amount of credits my realtor helped negotiate while in contract with my home was not the accurate amount. Miles provided inaccurate information during this time, being unable to change the amount unless we wanted to delay our closing (which was another opportunity for the seller to move on to another buyer). Speaking with his supervisor again, I did come to a compromise, but lost nearly $500 in seller credits. Overall Miles was negligent throughout the mortgage loan process, failing to inform us of the exact qualifications of the tax credits and not assisting myself in thoroughly understanding the mortgage loan and home buying process. I was able to reach compromises throughout this process, which is why I rated two stars, however Miles made this an extremely challenging and stressful process for this first time home buyer.
