Bank of England was a disaster to work with through the home buying process. From the start, the loan officer somehow lost my paystubs after sending them via email. A few weeks later after sending along the requested documents before leaving for a business trip (which I informed her about) she “forgot” and lost my school loan documents... I get a text while running to my layover in Dallas that she “didn’t have” my school loan docs after stating “we were good to go” the day before. I would submit any and all requested docs to her within 24 hours then she’d request more because she forgot she needed something. There were multiple times I had to send her info on various loans it seemed she knew nothing about (FHA, Rural Development, Down Payment Assistance). Towards the end of the process, she also didn’t know that our home needed a second appraisal that cost $520. First, she said I needed to pay for it. After refusing, she tried getting the seller to pay for it. They refused. Fortunately, she WAS able to get it credited for us and BOE covered the cost, rightfully so. These are just the major issues we had. There were so many smaller stumbling blocks because of this loan officer. The closing ended up being 3 weeks later than originally planned and my final “cost to close” would fluctuate, eventually going up by over $200 than what was quoted but at that point I just wanted to get into the house. I would not recommend the Bank Of England in Miamisburg. The lack of communication, organization and knowledge of basic home loans is baffling. If it weren’t for a friend that works at Wright Patt Credit Union giving me advice, I can almost guarantee we would’ve lost this home. Home Buyer BEWARE!!!
