This is a historic place to visit. Its directly beside the Missouri river, and if you have some time "especially at night" grab yourself a lantern and do some cat fishing!! A lot of my reviews have been in the California area but THIS IS MY STOMPING GROUND, and was great to be home. Fort Osage went through a fire and renovations have been made to accommodate tours. Highly recommend this place for a little taste of history....and, if you bring your rod and reel, maybe a little fried fish the next day.

Took two scout troops to do the overnight with Lewis and Clark experience. All I can say it was awesome. Three workers Chris, Mike and Patrick was great. They put in a lot of effort from feeding us when we got there, to making sure we were safe during a storm. The kids enjoyed the tour of the fort and factory. The museum also was great. I would recommend stopping by this fort for a visit and if you are in scouts do the overnight experience. Your scouts will love this.
