We were putting $300K down for a $600K home. They quoted us "their best loan" ... it was 3 years at 8.5% AND a TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR loan fee! :O WHAT A JOKE! This should be illegal. Our bank is giving us a slightly bigger hassle but 3.8% interest on a 15 year loan with 20% down ($120k) and NO LOAN FEE! It took them FOREVER to give us these terms so let me tell you now and save you some time. My credit score is 815. I hung up on the guy. 3 years with 10k charge at almost 9% for 300k ... don't make me throw up!
