This was my second time using L&C after having a previous mortgage complete but it is fair to say it will be definitely my last. I was constantly having to chase my case manager for updates and halfway through my Life Insurance Application my advisor left the company without any warning - Not even a call to say if someone else would be taking over. To quote the Auto-reply i received 'Your adviser has left the office indefinitely' this was the last time i heard anything from L&C about my Life Insurance Application. Safe to say i have gone elsewhere and actually have a better deal then was previously offered.

Never again. I thought an internet mortgage application would be easier. How wrong I was. I started my mortgage application 3 month before my current mortgage was about to end the 'discounted' rate and default to the higher rate. Two months of sending (recorded delivery) paperwork, wage slips, passports, scores of emails and telephone calls, I was genuinely losing sleep over this. In the end I went to the branch of my bank and got a new mortgage. Sadly not in time to avoid paying the non-discounted mortgage rate of my previous mortgage, costing me £400 more for the month. Really disappointed.
