My husband and I enjoyed a two-night stay at the Green Tree Inn this week. We have stayed at lots of B and B’s, and this one ranks as one of our favorites. The Nightengale room was so pretty and quite comfortable. The innkeepers, Connie and Gary, are personable and available with lots of area travel suggestions. Connie’s breakfasts and afternoon home baked treats are exceptional. The Green Tree Inn is in the charming little village of Elsah, but it is close to wineries, fruit farms, a water park, an animal rescue place, the touristy town of Grafton, and more. We can’t wait to return to the Green Tree.

Wonderful midweek stay in Elsah! Delicious breakfasts and outstanding service. Connie and Gary are so friendly! Flooding closed parts of the River Road during some of our stay but we still went to Grafton, Pere Marquette State Park and Alton just by driving the scenic way up to Highway 3. A pretty drive and just a few minutes longer.
