Would give zero stars if possible- it was a nightmare to say the least. We had a closing date set for Friday August 9 for MONTHS, had done everything they asked of us (including paying around $800 for an appraisal that was going to be reimbursed to us upon closing), then they simply never sent the closing docs to the title company. Our home was completely packed up into a uhaul when we were told we couldn't close that day after all and they needed an extension. They assured us we would close on Monday after the weekend, so we camped out in our vacant home until Monday, only to have them not complete their end of the job AGAIN and assured us that we would close Tuesday. Well Tuesday came around and they came back asking for ANOTHER EXTENSION. At this point, our builder was saying they would have to relist the house that they had built for us if we didn't get another lender since this one was giving us the run around and being extremely unreliable and dropping the ball over and over. So, after 5 days of living in our empty home and paying 5 days for a uhaul (instead of 1 day as we had planned) and losing $800 in appraisals and inspections that was supposed to be reimbursed to us on closing, we had to cancel our loan and figure something else out before we were literally homeless and our future home was back on the market for someone else - all because of the extreme unprofessionalism and unreliable manner that this business is run. We were out over $1,300 by the end of it, and are trying to at least be reimbursed for the money they caused us to lose in the loan process. Do not EVER use this lender.

Absolutely the worst loan experience in my Realtor career. Major disruption in the company during a loan causing it to fail to close twice and would never had closed if I(the REAL ESTATE AGENT) hadn't done all the work for them. Absolutely the WORST experience of my life. NEVER again will we refer to GT.
