This is exactly why I do not use Wepco Bank any longer. First off, their employees are rude, and clearly have no idea how to do anything outside of counting money. If you have anything besides a checking and savings account, I would NOT suggest coming here. They use FICO credit score, and its almost always one of the lowest scores. Not to mention, they are not familiar with their own policies. I paid 40$ extra on my loan for "insurance" because I had a lapse in coverage last year. It didn't start until I received insurance, and they refused to let me cancel the policy. Now, the entire time I have been told that A) I would have to pay the policy until December, for an entire year. and B) I would receive a refund of the money I have paid in since I have insurance already. I went ahead and used a personal loan from First United to pay off the loan at Wepco, this way I would no longer have to deal with them and my interest would be a way better percentage. Because I paid off the loan, they refuse to give me a refund. And they are saying I received a refund in December 2018, even though as far as I know, that's when the policy started. How can I receive a refund for something I haven't paid yet. Tell me that isn't crooked in every way, shape, and form. I have called multiple times, for months and only in the last month did I receive six different answers as to what is going on. Not to even mention they tried giving me an 18% interest rate on a personal loan, while First United gave me 7%. I understand that they are a Credit Union, and all the money they have is other peoples. But this is ridiculous. I paid extra for six months, for absolutely no reason at all. I could not cancel the policy. I have been told since day one I would receive my money back as long as a lapse in coverage did not occur. And here we are, being screwed over again by a big company. I have so much money out there that Im "supposed to receive back" and I am damn mad about it...
