Banks get a tough wrap most of the time. The staff here is awesome. I have been a customer for a long time. The mortgage department does a great job!

Glacier Bank is about to lose me as a client. I have had my mortgage with them for 5 years. The rate just went up a lot. I knew that was coming though. So I shopped around and found a rate much lower elsewhere. Then I went back to Glacier to ask them if they would match the rate. They said they would. So far so good. But then they said I had to reapply for the mortgage again and send all new documents all over again. I said to them that I would leave my mortgage at Glacier if they could just adjust the rate and let the mortgage continue. If I have to give documents all over again and pay fees, I might as well go to another bank. So my application is in process with a Credit Union. I have not missed a payment in over 5 years. The value of the property is more than twice what the amount owing is. This policy is frustrating. As soon as my mortgage is ready at the Credit Union, Glacier will lose me as a client.
